One of the local foods is called false banana. It is made from the pulp collected by scraping the trunk of a false banana tree. The tree looks like a banana tree but bears no fruit. This pulp is then chopped and fermented for about three months. Once it is ready it pressed between two banana leaves and then fried as seen here.
