Through tears, Xena and Demse told us how in December they awoke at four in the morning and their youngest son was crying with a high fever. He had symptoms of diarrhea and he began to convulse. They new it was AWD (Acute Watery Diarrhea as they had already lost a son from this several years earlier). They began to walk the two hours to the clinic carrying their extremely sick child. They made it to the clinic and were able to give him some medicine but it was too late. On the walk home he passed away. Death came to this young family because of something we take for granted every day – clean water. 4,500 children die everyday from unclean water and poor sanitation. You can make a difference for about $1 a day - would you consider sponsoring a child with World Vision and bring hope to a family like this.
