Fight extreme global poverty

Many of you know I work with World Vision. Our organization along with many others (see list below) distribute life saving aid to the world's poorest people provided by our country. Please help keep this valuable program in place by signing the petition below. 

Did you know that the International Affairs Budget (which is just 1.4 percent of the total federal budget) provides critical, life-saving assistance to combat extreme poverty, hunger, child mortality and diseases like AIDSand malaria?

Send a message to your members of Congress. Devastating and disproportionate cuts have been proposed that literally threaten lives of the poor and vulnerable. Ask Congress to support the International Affairs Budget and oppose major cuts to this account. There are few places in the U.S. federal budget where dollars translate so directly into lives saved and, therefore, should not be subject to such imbalanced reductions.
