In May of 2009, I traveled to Ethiopia with WV President Rich Stearns and author Max Lucado. It was a life changing trip. I had been to Africa several times before this visit. What really struck me was how dry it was there. This February I will lead a trip back to Ethiopia with Denny and Leesa Bellesi (Founders of Kingdom Assignment). The trip will focus on observing World Vision's work with Water, Hygiene and Sanitation. Providing clean drinking water and irrigation for crops is the major focus. We will explore both the need for ongoing investment and partnership and take a first hand look at some of the success stories.
