World Vision began its work in Abaya about two years ago and there was an AWS outbreak that affected about 1000 children. WV sprang into action and provided water purification tablets and medicine and was able to stop the outbreak. Still many people are infected by dirty water like this. This is the water source where Xena and Demse get their water everyday. Notice the animal feces and the bugs floating around in the water.
